Get financial aid that you don’t have to repay. Getting a grant or a scholarship is the best way to pay for your education, because it means less debt when you graduate. There are many places where you can get scholarships and grants: from the government, from a private organization, or from the college itself. You can also get more than one to maximize your financial assistance as much as possible.

Look for online, telecommuting, evening, and other nontraditional programs. If you are like most working adults, you are busy with existing responsibilities to work and family. You can’t just forsake everything to take classes during the day like a teenager or young 20-something. Fortunately, there are many programs geared to people like you, which offer online classes , telecommuting and evening classes, and programs where you can work at your own pace. Online classes and work-at-your-own-pace programs are especially helpful, since they allow you to do your classwork at any time of the day — or night — whenever you have the time available. Some of the more far reaching influences that the students of this Colorado university have contributed involves the NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory. They have created a new instrument that will help scientists to get a better understanding of the violent effects of the sun on the space weather that is near earth. On February 10 of 2010, NASA launched the a new experiment to learn more about the near by space weather. Space weather affects everything from satellites and power grids to communications that are going on on the ground and even the astronauts that are coming and going from the earths surface. CU is no where near Cape Canaveral but they made their presence known with the gifts that they have in the staff and students who sent along some great technology.  

CU has also contributed with a human touch as the graduated students join in the Peace Corp. This university has been at the top of the list for contributing new students into the Peace Corp.
