Pier 57 in Seattle Washington

There is a great afternoon and evening waiting at Miners Landing on Pier 57 in Seattle. This pier is also a historical area of the city. Schwabacher Wharf was the original name of this pier when it opened in 1872. It was the center of ships coming and going so it was caught in the middle of many of the interesting events of Seattle’s history. It was one of the few places to survive the Great Seattle Fire of 1889 and it was at the forefront of rebuilding the Seattle we know of today.

The pier is easy to get to from the best seattle hotels and currently has lots of places to walk, shop and eat in the sea side town, Miners Landing . You will find some of the countries best seafood at one of the many restaurants like The Crab Pot, Fisherman’s Restaurant, the Salmon Cooker and the Alaskan Sourdough Bakery.

Send your kids over to the Seattle Waterfront Arcade while you browse the handful of shops. Take a ride on the vintage Carousel that is indoors. If you are planning a special family or business gathering you may want to check out Miners Landing as a place to host your party. All in all it is a great day hanging out long the historical wharf of Seattle.

Getting Justice For Disney Accident Victims

The first thing that comes to mind regarding Disney World safety is the integrity of the rides themselves such as how secure are they? Are they in optimum working order? How does the weather effect the attractions? In the span of a year, from 2009 to April of 2010, Disney World accident count is up to nine (9).

July 5, 2009: A 21-year old monorail driver lost his life when his train crashed into another monorail due to a track-change malfunction.
August 6, 2009: A 47-year old Disney performer died from injuries received during a Captain Jack’s Pirate Tutorial show.
August 17, 2009: a Disney stuntman died after suffering a head injury while practicing a tumbling roll for the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show.
October 31, 2009: A 4-year old girl was injured at Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort when a golf cart she was riding in turned over.
March 14, 2010: A Disney employee broke his leg after he was struck by a guest driving a car at the Tomorrowland Speedway .
March 23, 2010: Eight(8) people were injured, one (1) seriously when a Disney bus and a Waldorf Astoria bus crashed into each other near Epcot.
And on April 1, 2010: a 10-year old boy was killed when a bus hit him at Disney’s Fort Wilderness.

With millions of visitors every year, the list of Disney World accidents seems miniscule, but not to those who either were injured or who lost a loved one; these nine accidents changed what should’ve been a fun-filled day and a great time for the entire family into a life altering experience. So, it’s very important to pursue justice for all accidents diligently and with full disclosure.

Reducing the Stress of College

It is hard to go off to college. You leave behind home and friends and move into being a new adult, which is something people are rarely ready for. It feels a whole lot better when you have a few things set in stone already though. For example, knowing where you are going to live is a big relief. If it is going to be in a dorm, that is pretty easy to find usually. However, if you are planning on living off campus, you may want to use some tools provided by Transglobe property management specially for students. There is advise on their site about finding a roommate, a job and how to budget yourself. All of these things can help you with the hunt for the right place. Of course Transglobe property management services also has places you can look into moving into, many of which are specially for students moving into the area.

If you are going to school abroad , making sure you have the money and paperwork to stay over there is important and taking care of this long before it is time to get to college will help some with the stresses of leaving. You may also want to make sure that you have the money to come back home in case anything happens. Make sure you have all important paperwork in order, such as medical records and birth certificate, because chances are that you will need them at some point.

What are the other things you can do to reduce your stress before going to college?

High Expectations for the 2010 NFL Season

Even though the 2010 NFL season isn’t set to begin for another couple of months, September 9th to be exact, expectations are already running high. Scouts and hiring agents spent three days in April, instead of the typical two, analyzing and selecting the best new players for their teams. As all of the pregame practices and preparations begin, fans too have a lot to look forward to in the coming season.

The starting game of the season is traditionally a rematch between the two opposing teams of the previous years Super Bowl. So this September the New Orleans Saints will host the Minnesota Vikings in a game that will surely draw a crowd. The New York Giants will match up with the Carolina Panthers, the New York Jets with the Baltimore Ravens, and Kansas City Chiefs with the San Diego Chargers will complete the Opening Weekend games.

In 2005, the NFL began allowing regular season games to be played internationally. The first game was played in Mexico City between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco Chargers. This year the San Francisco 49ers will face off against the Denver Broncos at Wembley Stadium in London. Although it is sure to be an exciting game, numbers may be down since the game is scheduled for October 31. The fourth game of the MLB’s World Series is also scheduled for that day.

No matter what team you are rooting for it is sure to be an interesting season. With new players being added and various players being traded, it is hard to tell what the season will hold and who will come out on top. But with all of the avid football fans out there, whether they are cheering on the Dallas Cowboys or the Pittsburgh Steelers, watches will be set for the Kickoff Game and a terrific start to an exciting new season.

Tips for Adults Going Back to School

Having gone back to school to get my degree as an adult, I know it’s not easy — but it is also very rewarding. However, you will need to be willing to make some minor adjustments to your lifestyle. Here are a few tips for returning students.

Plan ahead to pay for tuition and books. If you know you are going to have to pay your tuition at the beginning of next semester, don’t wait until then to try to come up with the money — save during the previous semester so that you have some money put aside when it comes time to pay the bill. This will also minimize the amount that you need to borrow on student loans, which is good because you don’t want to graduate with a lot of debt!

Get financial aid that you don’t have to repay. Getting a grant or a scholarship is the best way to pay for your education, because it means less debt when you graduate. There are many places where you can get scholarships and grants: from the government, from a private organization, or from the college itself. You can also get more than one to maximize your financial assistance as much as possible.

Look for online, telecommuting, evening, and other nontraditional programs. If you are like most working adults, you are busy with existing responsibilities to work and family. You can’t just forsake everything to take classes during the day like a teenager or young 20-something. Fortunately, there are many programs geared to people like you, which offer online classes , telecommuting and evening classes, and programs where you can work at your own pace. Online classes and work-at-your-own-pace programs are especially helpful, since they allow you to do your classwork at any time of the day — or night — whenever you have the time available. If this is after you put the kids to bed, that’s perfectly fine!

Going back to college as an adult can be difficult, but it’s not impossible. By being careful with your time and money for a few years, you can get that degree you always dreamed of having!
